PROGRESS TOWARD RESTORING THE EVERGLADES

CISRERP

The Committee on Independent Scientific Review of Everglades Restoration Progress (CISRERP), established by the National Research Council, provides biennial reports on the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan’s progress, accomplishments, and challenges with a particular focus on the role of restoration science.

Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP): 5 Year Report to Congress

Joint Report from the secretaries of the Army and the Interior

The Water Resources Development Act of 2000 (Section 601) and CERP’s Programmatic Regulations (2003) require the secretaries of the Army and the Interior to jointly submit a report to Congress on the progress of CERP implementation every five years. The report notes accomplishments in areas that include construction, outreach activities, new science, and funding for that five-year period and what is anticipated over the next five years.

South Florida Environmental Report (SFER)

South Florida Water Management District

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) produces the annual South Florida Environmental Report (SFER), an intensive review of the prior water year’s ecosystem conditions and restoration progress. In addition to the three volume technical report, a summary document and a searchable project database are also available.
