The goal of the SER Science Workshop is to facilitate science exchange and discussion among Center staff, promote large-scale integrated science strategies, and discuss and bring focus to new science directions that can best address USGS and stakeholder priorities.

The workshop’s main focus is to illustrate the breadth of science that exists within the SER and serve our primary objective of helping USGS scientists establish new professional networks in our region. We will utilize keynote presentations, round table discussions, lightning talks, and a moderated break-out group to facilitate interaction and other networking opportunities. In addition, the workshop will utilize a poster session to promote scientific networking and collaboration across centers and mission areas. Finally, we are planning to identify recommendations on new science directions to address the needs of our stakeholders.

The workshop will be held virtually from July 26-28 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm EDT. If you wish to observe the workshop via livestream on YouTube, please click HERE. Please note that a link to the agenda is provided above. Livestreaming will not be provided for the poster session or for the breakout session.
